Great-Grandpa Small...

...Gone. My Great-Grandpa Small died Monday, the 13th, in the morning. He was somewhere in his 90s. He was living in a nursing home and couldn't even remember my grandpa's name, HIS SON! He wouldn't eat or drink. The funeral is on Friday, but we're leaving for Bellingham on Thursday.

Forks, WA

For a family reunion, everyone went to Forks, WA. We stayed in LaPush at the Quileute Oceanside Resort on an Indian reservation. Here are some pictures of that trip:

Gayle's Back!

Mom and Dad went to Tri-Cities and left Morgan, Ryan, Ethan, and I at Grandma and Grandpa Gentry's house. Gayle and Illa are staying there! Gayle used to be my favorite aunt (now almost all of my aunts are my favorites, and besides, you're not supposed to choose favorites out of family.) Gayle was living in Wisconsin with Illa and Joe, but came back (the family reunion is in a couple of weeks.)

Piano Recital

I was in a piano recital on Saturday. My song "Called To Serve" was in the middle of the program and "Fur Elise" was the last one. I messed up, but I don't think anyone noticed. I wore a brand new brown and white dress. I also had on brown shoes with a strap and buckle. After the recital, there were brownies and ice cream. Nana and Grandpa Gary had to leave early to get home as soon as possible. Grandma and Grandpa Gentry had Alta because Melissa and Ryan were moving in to their new house. They came back to our house and had dinner. Alta went with me to feed my pig and got to touch Junior. Then she played on the slide the rest of the time.

You have to feel beautiful to be beautiful.

Point Defiance Zoo

I went to the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma for a field trip. I bought six things at the gift shop: a turtle necklace for me, a shark snow globe for Ethan, a tiger back scratcher for dad, and "Kids Zone" magnet for Ryan, an elephant magnet for Morgan, and a Magnet filled with water and a floating penguin in it for mom. I had a disposable camera and took a lot of pictures. there were elephants, a tiger, an aardvark, lemurs, monkeys, tapirs, an arctic beluga, polar bears, walruses, meerkats, puffins, penguins, otters, seals, red wolves, porcupines, a lynx, and a lot more. We left the school at 7:15 A.M. and got back to the school at 7:00 P.M. We had to stop Indian John Hill to go to the bathroom.

Seaside, OR

This Memorial weekend, I went to Seaside, OR, as you can tell from the title. It was REALLY fun. On Saturday, when Nana, Grandpa Gary, Maddy, and Gracie came, we did bumper cars, went to the beach, and bought stuff at a toy store (a little smaller than Mr. Magorium's) and a store with a ton of sweat shirts and shirts. We celebrated Ethan's birthday. There was chocolate cake and double vanilla ice cream. He got a tool box with tools from Grandpa Gary and Nana. He also got $15 from Maddy, Gracie, and their parents. Nana and Grandpa Gary took me with them and Maddy and Gracie.

Broken Window

Mom was taking all of us kids to pick up our pigs in Othello. She backed out and didn't realize that dad's goose-neck trailer was behind us. We hit the front of it and shattered the back window. Glass was everywhere and the back of the car was dented and the tail light was cracked and hanging on by a chord. Mom called dad so he could come pick us up to get our pigs. Now, there is plastic on the back of the car.

Park Family Reunion

On Saturday, there was the Park family reunion at Nana's house in Montesano. There was also an Easter egg hunt. I didn't get much on the hunt, yet I had to give Ethan a whole container of Whoppers that I found! After the hunt, Lauren Tangvald (my step-cousin), Maddy Lucas (my cousin), and I would run over to the cows. We named 6 cows: I named a grayish calf Dusty, Maddy named a black calf with a white head Edward because she is addicted to Twilight, Gracie, Maddy's younger sister, named a light brown calf with a white head Reese's Pieces, I named a brown cow with curly fur on her sides Jo-Jo, Maddy named a brown calf that was abandoned by its mother Hope, and I named the cow that abandoned her calf Bandit because I thought she should be behind bars. We also had an egg toss. My partner was Lauren. We were the only ones that used one egg the whole time. It finally broke all over me. Egg was in my hair, on my chin, all over my shirt, and splattered down my pants. While everyone else kept doing the egg toss, I went inside and took a shower.

Boots! Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are!

Yesterday, Morgan and I arrived at Nana's house. They own a whole bunch of cows in Montesano (part of the rainy coast), and I didn't have any boots that fit me. Dad told Nana that we would have to go somewhere and buy me some. We went to "Del's" in Aberdeen, "Del's" in Montesano, "Montesano Farm and Home", "Dennis Co." in Aberdeen, "Dennis Co." in Montesano, "Sears", "JCPenneys", and "Famous Footwear". We couldn't find anything anywhere! We went back to Nana's house and looked on the Internet. Finally, I looked at Target.com and found tons of rubber boots. I decided on getting black boots with different colored polka dots. Nana called Granny Park and asked her to go to the mall in Bellingham (that's where she lives) and pick them up. She will bring them on Friday because that's when she is coming.

Pigs, Pigs, And More Pigs

Today, Morgan and I got to choose the pigs that we wanted to bring to the Grant and Adams fairs. I told myself that I would only get black pigs, but sure enough I got a white pig. (But don't forget, I still got 1 black pig.) I already picked out names, too. The white pig is named Junior because, compared to his brothers, he's HUGE. I named the black pig Cheyenne because I wanted to name Piper that. I even named one of Grimmers' horses Cheyenne. I hope that Junior won't bite and be too aggressive because every time I have a white pig, I'm happy when the people load them up to go to the butcher.

Future Job

I've recently decided that when I grow up, I want to be a clothing designer. I have a binder with more than thirty sketches in it. My friend Jacie and I both make designs. The only thing that now needs done is that Jacie needs a sewing machine and I need to learn how to work one. Jacie just got her own room, so she says she's going to turn it into a studio. Dad is thinking of making a building to do popcorn in (that way we could use the garage for an actual garage) and he is planning on building a loft in it so Mom can scrapbook and sew and do all that stuff. I asked her if I could get a desk and put it up there. Then, I could have my own little studio myself. Jacie even thought that when we grow up we could open our own business.

Science Fair

On March 26, I was part of the 5th Grade Science Fair. My project was called "All Stained Up" (it involved wood stain.) Mr. Skeen, my teacher, and my mom took A LOT of pictures. Mom even took pictures of Carson and I (we were set up beside each other), since we were soooo "competitive". I don't think so. Mom also said that in preschool we would race to see who could get through the doors first. At piano, Carson asked how many points I had and how many times I had earned a prize. That's how this whole thing started. The Science Fair ended 15 minutes after it was supposed to because a bunch of 3rd graders kept coming in.

Carolyn Winder's Funeral

On March 25, Patty Robbins took me to Carolyn Winder's funeral. The primary kids had to sing "I Am a Child of God". But, the first time we sang, it was in Spanish. The second time was English. When we sang Spanish, everyone looked at us like we were aliens. Also, little girls that were strangers came and sang with us. Who knows how they knew the song in Spanish. After I sang, Charity, Patty's daughter, and I went to the nursery. There was a little girl that kept wanting to throw the ball at us! She did. It kept hitting me in the face. Finally, her dad came and got her.
